Site Kit by Google causing Critical Error in WordPress

    Hello,

    when I activate Sitekit Plugin by google, the whole website stops being online and “Critical Error in WordPress” message appears.

    I did all updates uesterday

    Tried to follow this link suggestions by reinstalling the plugin but nothing changed

    Would like to know if it’s possible to do anything before resetting Site Kit

    Thanks for reaching out @daisydeddle, and for sharing your Site Health information. Rather than trying to activate Site Kit alone, does the same occur if you temporarily deactivate the following, before then activating Site Kit once more: Meta pixel for WordPress, LiteSpeed Cache, Meta pixel for WordPress, WPCode Lite

    Please check and let me know if the same does occur. If not, please activate these other plugins once more, one by one, checking at what stage the error reappears. Please also share any errors that may appear on the dashboard, or in your browser console.

    Note that the above plugins don’t have any known conflict with Site Kit, but they do have optimization configurations and/or options to add snippets to your website that could potentially impact Site Kit set up.

    I deactivated lite speed cache and now Site Kit by Google works fine. I shall try to find an alternative cache plugin and check if it still works

    Glad to hear it @daisydeddle. Note that LiteSpeed Cache does work with Site Kit, and I suspect that what you’re facing is more an issue with a particular configuration. You may wish to reset all LiteSpeed Cache configurations to their defaults before trying once more, and checking your site after each configuration you apply.

    Note that it’s also not uncommon for caching or optimization plugins to have features that minify CSS or JS, and such configurations do come with warnings. Regardless, do let us know should you have any further questions. Thank you and best of luck with your site.
