    Hey,

I want to setup a Google Ads account, add tracking, etc… to my WordPress ecommerce website with Site Kit. However, when connecting to my Gmail account, nothing changes on the extension page. Always looks like this: https://postimg.cc/jD2CdSjc

If it can help, once I connect my account and it loads, it redirects me to the Woocommerce plugin > Settings > Payplug.

    Can you help?

    Thanks,

    S

Hi there @sebollet, and indeed we’re happy to assist. In order to do so, please share the following:

    1. Your Site Health information. You can use this form to share privately if preferred.
    2. From the screenshot you shared, can you confirm the issue. Is nothing happening when you try to click on the “Se connecter avec Google” button, or do you only get so far when trying to connect?
    3. When attempting to set up Site Kit from a Chrome browser incognito window does the same occur? If so, please share any browser console errors that appear.  This can help indicate a browser or caching related block.

Regarding question 2 above, feel free to share a recording of your experience, so we’re aware of the issue you’re facing. You can use a service such as Loom or Zight to share a screen recording, while using this form to share this privately if preferred.

Let me know if you have any questions with the above. Thank you.

    Hi,

    Thanks for your quick answer.

    1. Done!
    2. You can see here: https://www.loom.com/share/cbb9fa4d16d24f9da80ba04321667af0
    3. I have not tried that yet.

    Thank you,

Many thanks for the additional information @sebollet. While I may have to check some of the other plugins you have active, given that you’re redirected to a WooCommerce page when selecting your Google account during Site Kit set up, please follow the steps below:

    1. Login to your live site from a Chrome browser incognito window.
    2. Install and activate the Health Check & Troubleshooting plugin.
    3. Navigate to “Plugins > Health Check & Troubleshooting > Troubleshoot”.
    4. From the same screen click on the “Available Plugins” tab at the top right and then click on the “Enable” option next to “Site Kit by Google“ and also “WooCommerce”.
    5. Attempt to set up Site Kit once

The above will help determine whether a third party plugin is impacting your Site Kit setup. Given you’re redirected to a possible WooCommerce PayPal Payments endpoint, I suspect their Google Pay option may be conflicting with Site Kit.

Let me know if you have any questions with the above. Thank you.

    Hey,

    I can’t get that far, I’m afraid : https://www.loom.com/share/6ad660bdb9d34c128180bbb0b202536a

Sorry to hear that @sebollet. Not to worry, we can try a few alternative checks. Please share the following:

    1. Do you encounter the same error when setting up Site Kit after you temporarily deactive the WooCommerce PayPal Payments plugn?
    2. When attempting to set up Site Kit from a Chrome browser incognito window does the same occur? If so, please share any browser console errors that appear.  This can help indicate a browser or caching related block.

Let me know if you have any questions with the above.

    Hey,

The error happens both classic and incognito mode. Just tried in classic mode and now, I can not access my website at all anymore. Damn!

Will try deactivate PayPal plugin once I get access again.

Thanks for the update. Do let me know how you get on after deactivating the PayPal plugin, while I’m happy to also check some of your other plugins on a test site for the same experience.

I’m just following up with you to check whether the error remains? If so please share whether the same occurs with the PayPal plugin temporary deactivated and we can investigate further.
