I have installed a plugin called Multiple Domains to create 3 different domains xx.sg, xx.co.id and xx.co.th. However, it is managed under the same site. Therefore, when I download the Site Kit, it doesnt seem to be able to connect the individual domains to individual accounts on GA4. Even if I didn’t mind the data being in one GA4 account, I notice I’m only receiving data from the site that is attached to the site kit.

What can I do to ensure that I can still analyse my web data on GA4 for all 3 domains? I need to solve this urgently

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

Thanks for reaching out @jaynehow. Can you confirm that this is the plugin you’re using to manage multiple domains? If not, please share the plugin that you have in use.

Regarding receiving data from only one site, this is normal. Site Kit can be setup specific to each WordPress install. I assume all your domains are tied to a single WordPress install, when you mention “managed under the same site”. It’s normal that Site Kit won’t work and report specifically for each domain in your case.

To troubleshoot this further, please share the following:

    1. What is your primary domain, the domain tied to your wp-admin panel? I ask as I can see Site Kit is active on the variations of your domain.
    2. Are you encountering any errors from the Site Kit dashboard?

Let me know if you have any questions with the above. Thank you.

Yes that is the correct plugin! There doesn’t seem to be a primary domain as well.

So the problem I am facing on Site Kit is that when I sign into the dashboard using xxx.sg/dashboard first and then go to xxx.co.id/dashboard, I see a notice from Site Kit that says “I see that your url has changed from xx.sg to xx.co.id”. I just want to make sure that GA4 is indeed tracking data from xx.co.id as well.

Thanks for the update @jaynehow. I tested the same plugin and indeed this isn’t compatible with Site Kit. Site Kit can only connect to one individual site per WordPress install. If you’re managing all sites from a single wp-admin panel, Site Kit will recognize any URL changes and suggest you go through the set up process once more. This is why you’re encountering the “….your URL has changed from….” message.

Do let me know if you have any further questions on this. Thank you.

Hi! Thanks for the clarification. Is there another way you would recommend that I track my other domains on GA4 then?

For each site, you may wish to add your Site Kit constants, so there is no confusion when switching between sites. I can’t guarantee that this will stop the notices regarding “Looks like your site URL has changed”, but it would mean that each site is not using the standard WordPress SALT keys to match a site URL with the respective wp-admin path. The instructions for doing so can be found here.

Again I can’t be certain that will address the issue with Site Kit recognizing a site URL change, but it may allow you to view the Site Kit dashboard for the wp-admin path you’re using without interruption (ie. If you’re using the .co.th wp-admin path, it should remain displaying Site Kit data for that particular site without being asked to redo plugin setup.

If you have any questions on this, let me know. Overall, Site Kit doesn’t provide support for using a single wp-admin path to manage multiple sites, in particular when using a third party plugin.
