Hello @taylorjmain, thanks for getting in touch and explaining the permissions issue you are facing. Is this happening at the Site Kit sign in stage? If so, you could first try performing a Site Kit reset which will reset everything in the plugin and should allow you to then connect the plugin yourself with your administrator account.
Please keep in mind though that performing a reset will disconnect all other users that have access to the plugin and they will need to connect it once more also with their own Google accounts.
If you continue to encounter issues after the reset, please could you share a recording or screenshot of what you see which may help me to see what the cause may be.
Hello, thanks so much for this response. If I do the reset and connect the plugin with the administrator account, will that wipe and delete all existing data? I’m able to see some surface level data as is so if it’ll wipe it all, I almost feel like seeing something is better than starting from scratch.
@taylorjmain Analytics data will not be wiped when resetting Site Kit. Once setting up Site Kit again, you can choose to connect the Analytics module and select any Analytics account/property you have access to as well as the option to create a new property.
If you don’t see the property you wish to select, this will be because your Google account does not have access to it and you will need to reach out to the admin that has control over that property to give you permissions for it.

I don’t have the ability to contact the previous contractor who originally set it up. I can log into the Analytics section of my Google account and see that my email address is assigned as an administrator, so in theory, I should be able to reconnect Site Kit and not lose any information or history of data, right?

@taylorjmain If you can access the Analytics platform and view the data for the property you wish to connect in Site Kit then yes that is correct.
