Site Performance with Plugin

Just curious why updating existing content or creating new content now takes a very long time. Prior to installing this plugin, the creation of new posts/pages or editing of existing ones would take milliseconds when you hit publish/save.

Now with this plugin, any new posts or edits take 5-10 seconds or longer to save when you hit publish/save. Curious what’s happening in the background to cause this and if there’s a way to optimize in future versions. Assume it’s very database-intensive.
