I run a site hosted via godaddy (i know this is my first mistake). The site worked fine yesterday. I made some minor text changes and when i log on today i get an error 500 message saying the site cannot load.
I’ve contacted godaddy who are no use saying and i quote ‘Stuff happens’ and that it’s because i’ve done some but they can’t say what all they can say is it’s not their end and they can’t see any problems.
can anyone offer any advice, im at my wits end!

Errors like this are logged. Check the error log on your server. If you can’t find the log, please contact your host.

Meantime, enable wp_debug and wp_debug_log and after an error, look at wp-content/debug.log to see if anything gets logged there. https://codex.ww.wp.xz.cn/Debugging_in_WordPress

You can also try this: Please attempt to disable all plugins, and use one of the default (Twenty*) themes. If the problem goes away, enable them one by one to identify the source of your troubles.

If you cannot access wp-admin, there are other ways to deactivate plugins.

    Hi Steve,

I think I have fixed it. I am still going through and checking plugins though. I had purchased and third party theme but for ease I may switch to a WordPress standard one.

Thank you so much for your help!
