    Hi,

I started with a theme 3 months ago and I want to change it. That could be simple but I need a solution for a test with a theme or two with a different editor.

My first try was developed with Elementor and I want to move to Gutenberg on a block ready theme. The one I started with does not allow to use Gutenberg fully. And I’m still learning, so that it will take time. Meanwhile I want my site to keep on running.

The part with Woocommerce does not need a big change and I’d like to keep it.

Is there a way to use Duplicator for a move with all this in mind ?

    Hi @kartable ,

    Thanks for contact Duplicator support.

I’m not entirely sure how your website will change during the development work you are going to do.

Duplicator can help you to migrate your website. It captures the website database and files into an archive, then, you use this archive to migrate the website.

So, you can do the following with Duplicator:

    • Create a backup from your current site using Duplicator
    • Install this backup on a staging website
    • Do the development work on the staging site
    • Use Duplicator again to replace the test site with the finished staging site.

The below is a link for Dupicator quick guide. it will help you to quickly understand how Duplicator works:

    I hope this help.

    Thanks!
