    Hi,

I use Yoast on my website to determine titles, etc. When I go to my homepage, I see the correct title: ‘Home l Ride4Happiness’. But when I search for my site on Google via ‘site:ride4happiness.be’, I see the old page titles. The homepage isn’t even displayed…

I have requested a re-indexing multiple times via Google Search Console (the last time was 10 days ago), but Google continues to show the old title.

How can I resolve this issue?

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Hello @sibokker,

Thanks for using Yoast SEO. I confirmed the SEO title you entered in our plugin is shown in the page source: <title>Home | Ride4Happiness</title>. When I performed a site search from my end, Google shows something similar but not exact: Ride4Happiness: Home.

This means the issue isn’t with our plugin but Google. Google decides which title to show in its results. While Google typically uses the title and meta description from the metadata for indexing, this is not always the case. The title and meta description you enter in our snippet preview are suggestions for Google. Google’s goal is to represent the best and describe each result. They use several different sources to get this information. In doing so, they try to make the search results as relevant as possible. Since this is handled on Google’s end, there is little you can do to force it to display your preferred title.

I recommend posting a question in the Google Search Central Help Community for further assistance.
