site-wide, full-width,
-
I want to implement the simple concept of a slideshow that is site-wide (all pages, posts), and full-width (not governed by width of text or columns below). I’m not sure I see this in the Installation instructions.
Hopefully someone out there has solved this.

Hi Bill, what are you current settings under Slideshow Settings?
MBR, I have a screenshot you can see from this link:

I need to crash. I will check in the morning to see if you’ve come up with anything.
thanks
BillHi Bill, you need to check from the image you submitted above your Default Slideshow Settings.
One you see them make sure you then check the settings for each slideshow you create.
Here is the link to Default Slideshow Settings.
What do I look for to select site-wide, full-width parameters?
Bill
Do you need my password?
Can you create another screen capture like above. The link you provided above shows nothing.
Thank you
Splitting the screen into two pages;

BillHi Bill, start by changing the following:
- Image Behavior to Stretch to fit.
- Shrink slideshow’s height when width shrinks Yes
Remember the width will be based on your website width.
Thanks so much.
That’s exactly what I’m looking for. Thank you.
Next question, can I apply that code to (say, a template) so it is always on top of all pages and posts?
best
BillOnce you are happy with your settings, add the following code to your template where ever you want the slideshow to appear.
This is just an example code. The number 3959 is the slideshow ID.
<?php do_action('slideshow_deploy', '3959'); ?>Remember your ID will be different.
Thanks, MBR.
I have plenty to work with now. I will be in touch if I bump into something. You’ve been extremely helpful; thank you.
Bill
You are most welcome Bill 🙂
If you don’t need more help with this thread can you mark it as resolved.
Thank you
Dear MBR
Thanks for all the help so far. I’ve been dominated by the day job. I’m back here for pieces of the weekend, but I appreciate your comments whenever it’s convenient for you.
I am definitely opting to use jquery’s Slideshow, so much about it I like, and the cheers from Slideshow users help me decide.
I understand this note from you, but wonder if I’m qualified to implement

Remember your ID will be differentWhat I do not understand is Where in the template to insert this code. I have not edited CSS, but I did some programming 20 years back. So I’m not afraid to try things. If it is a simple “insert” that of course would be something I can handle; or if there is a tutorial to step me through the Insert, that would be welcome.
I have found the Editor and opened the Blog Template, but I stumped where to insert the above code.
Thanks
BillI’m re-writing my question.
Continuing:
When I open the public URL, the slideshow does not show, but the new blog page does.
When I click View Site from the upper left under Third Coast Transit, same. I do not see the slideshow.
The code is in the draft, but not the published post?
