Site won’t load

Hi,
I’m having weird problems with WordPress and I’ve noticed this on many different machines:
I installed it at work today, Windows/Apache 2.0.54/PHP 5.1.2/MySQL 4.1.7, worked fine from all machines except one, it wouldn’t load in IE or Firefox. No real reason, just returned timeout after a long time.
I installed it on home machine (Linux/Apache/PHP 5.1.2, MySQL 4.1.x) and it worked fine from my machine and roomie’s. But when I installed (clean install) on webserver, it won’t work for me (firefox) and some friend (using different ISP and Windows IE/Firefox), yet it works perfectly well for another buddy with IE, Firefox and Opera. REALLY weird.

I really have no clue where to start searching what the problem is…and I’m a pro web developer, but since I don’t have any other access to webserver but FTP, I can’t check the logs. It looks to me this is somehow browser related, but I really don’t know how. I’ve tried searching here and on Google, found no real answers. Help?

EDIT: it actualy comes through, but it won’t display. I can do view source if I click on STOP, but I really wonder why it won’t show on some browsers.
