I am struggling to get the plugin to work now that I have switched the site over to site ground hosting.

I had it working with wordpress.com hosting, and when I transferred over to siteground, I don’t think I copied the settings properly.

    I have chosen

    Sockets

    IMAP-SSL

    993

    imap.gmail.com

    Ignore Email date: Yes

    Use postie time correction: no

Postie Time Correction: -4 (I’m in Eastern Standard Time)

Check for mail: every 5 mins

    Maximum emails to check: 5

    Delete after posting: no

    Enable Error Logging: yes

    Enable Debug Logging: yes`

and double checked the username and password.
use less secure apps is turned on for the gmail account.

I am still getting errors on the test and the process email actions.

    OS: Linux giowm1260.siteground.biz 3.12.18-clouder0 #1 SMP PREEMPT Mon Sep 21 14:18:04 EEST 2020 x86_64

    PHP Multibyte String support: yes
    MySQL Version: 5.7.32

    xfj_posts charset: utf8mb4
    WordPress Version: 5.6.1

I don’t see any actual error messages in the log you provided.

Typically the issue people see when switching hosting is that the new host doesn’t allow outbound connections on that port. You’ll need to verify that Siteground allows outbound connections on port 993.
