SITEGROUND OPTIMIZER MESSAGE ERROR

    WHEN I OPEN THE SITEGROUND OPTIMIZER PLUG-IN IN THE “FRONTED OPTIMIZATION” SECTION IT SHOWS ME THE MESSAGE “THERE HAS BEEN A CRITICAL ERROR ON THIS WEB SITE”

    THEN, IN THE “JAVASCRIPT” OPTION WHEN TRYING TO ACTIVATE “MINIFY” AND “COMBINE” JAVASCRIPT FILES, IT SHOWS ME AN ERROR MESSAGE THAT SAYS “COULD NOT ENABLE JAVASCRIPT (MINIFY OR COMBINE)”

    I HAVE A BANAMEX PAYMENT GATEWAY PLUG-IN INSTALLED IN MY WOOCOMMERCE, WHICH, WHEN TESTING THE “CLIENT” SIDE, IT GIVES A JS ERROR IN THE CONSOLE AND FOR THE PLUG-IN TO WORK PROPERLY, I MUST DEACTIVATE IT. THAT COMPLICATES THE CLEANING OF THE CACHE AND THE INFORMATION UPDATE I DO FOR MY PAGE.

    CAN SOMEONE HELP ME WITH THIS SITUATION? THANK YOU SO MUCH

    Hello @brndn183,

    This appears to be a compatibility issue with the WooCommerce PayPal Payments plugin. Their support confirmed that it is most likely a result of new functionality added in the last update to v1.7.1 and they are looking into fixing this with the next release.

    For the time being you can downgrade the WooCommerce PayPal Payments plugin to v1.7.0 or install a fix package provided in the thread mentioned above.

    ONE OF THE PROBLEMS THAT PERSISTS IS THAT THE SITEGROUND OPTIMIZER PLUG-IN DOES NOT ALLOW TO ACTIVATE THE “MINIFY” AND “COMBINE” JAVASCRIPT FILES

    As previously noted this is due to compatibility issues with the WooCommerce PayPal Payments plugin. I double-checked your website and see that you are still running version 1.7.1. You should either downgrade the WooCommerce PayPal Payments plugin to version 1.7.0 or install the package provided by the plugin developers in this thread – https://ww.wp.xz.cn/support/topic/compatibility-issue-with-siteground-optimizer/
