Thanks for getting in touch @rymiller. That does indeed sound most unusual. Not to worry however, with a little bit of troubleshooting I’m sure we can determine the cause. To start, please share the following:
- Your Site Health information. You can use this form to share privately if preferred.
- When attempting to complete Ads set up from from a Chrome browser incognito window does the same occur?
- When clicking on the “Complete manual setup” button, please share any browser console errors that appear.
Feel free to share a recording of your experience with your console tab open if you wish. You can use a service such as Loom or Zight to share a screen recording, while using this form to share this privately if preferred.
While you’re preparing the above, I’ll also perform some checks on test sites to confirm no widespread issue. There have been no other reports of this at this time, so I do suspect something with your local set up or browser as being the cause.

James, after submitting my site health, i tried the same workflow with incognito and it worked. Stuff like this really urks me – I know, I’m complaining to you.
