I have the same problem. When I select a post type to exclude from the sitemap, the whole thing stops working and I get a page not found error.
I’m on WordPress 4.1.1 and also have problems with xml-sitemaps. I’ve got this info:

I got this to work by resetting the permalink structure in settings.
Mine also not working and I’ve tried resetting permalinks and deactivating/reactivating. Just getting a blank page which nothing appears on?
