Hi @vineryap,
I’m the author of The SEO Framework plugin.
I’m not sure why it won’t generate a sitemap, but there’s no need to worry 🙂
Bogo correctly adds “alternate” tags (more info), so all versions of your pages should be easily located by crawlers.
Bogo is a bit larger than other plugins I’d like to check for compatibility issues, but I see no need to dive into this stressing the functionality. A sitemap is a nice tool that helps with fast indexing and it can add some analytical insights, but that’s it really.
Hi @cybr,
Thank you very much for the fast response and explanations as always 🙂
So there will be no problem with the SEO for my site? because I read some articles that said it affects SEO value. But I’m just a beginner so I’m not sure how true it is.
Hi @vineryap,
No problem! 🙂
There’s no (big) problem because the sitemaps TSF provides adds no SEO value whatsoever. This is because there are newer and better methods available which we use instead. So, the sitemaps are merely there to help your new and updated content get indexed faster, not better.
I answered one specific use-case setting regarding image sitemaps, found here.
Nevertheless, that the sitemap isn’t outputted isn’t intended; so, we’ll have to take a look at this issue later.
