• Hi,
I am not sure if I will be able to get a fix for the following issue here. I informed thimpress. After a long conversation over many days, they said “sorry”, without addressing the issue. So, I am asking the same question here because I believe it is a serious SEO issue.

I am trying to generate the XML sitemap for lessons. For lessons, correct links are not added to the sitemap. Here is the sitemap for lessons.
    https://computing4all.com/lp_lesson-sitemap.xml

Inside the sitemap, the lesson links are missing the course directory “courses/introductory-data-science/” part.

For example, now the sitemap contains the link:
    https://computing4all.com/lessons/the-simplest-form-of-data-2/
but the permalink in the sitemap should be
    https://computing4all.com/courses/introductory-data-science/lessons/the-simplest-form-of-data-2/

On LearnPress setting, I am using the “Courses base” — that is this structure https://computing4all.com/courses/sample-course/

Therefore, the course path should be in the permalink and hence in the sitemap.

Is there any place in the settings of Learnpress or Thimpress (Eduma) where I can get a fix for this?

Since I keep most of my content for the course public, the permalink should give the link in the course path. With the current issue, I am not able to submit the path to Google using a sitemap.

Please let me know if can get help. Again, I already communicated with Thimpress (I have an active paid license for Education WordPress Theme.) Their last response on this topic was a Sorry. I think I failed to explain the issue to them.

    Thank you.

    Hi,
I have used Yoast too with NO success. I have just re-verified with Yoast a few minutes ago. The sitemap generated by Yoast does not contain the “courses/introductory-data-science/” part in the links for lessons either.

I used three sitemap generators so far to verify the issue. The three sitemap generators are: Rank Math, Yoast, and Sitemap Generator. All of them generate the links for lessons incorrectly. That made me believe that the issue is with a function call from either LearnPress or Eduma.

Thank you for looking into the issue.

You too have a Merry Christmas.

    Hi @computingforall

I’m having a similar issue. I want to include my teachers’ (LP Instructors) profiles in the sitemap. I’ve tried using SEOPress and Google XML Generator, to no avail. Can you help me out here?
