Hello,
Thanks for reaching out. We can confirm that your Yoast-generated XML sitemap is blank, though if you check the page source, there are contents.
A blank sitemap is typically an issue with the stylesheet, a static file or a conflict in your setup. Please check the following:
1. Check whether the source of the sitemap shows you the data you would expect in an XML sitemap. Not sure how to see the source code, follow the steps in this help article.
2. If you have a cache plugin or server-side cache, please flush the cache. If the issue remains, please disable and re-enable the sitemap feature (steps here) to force a cache reset. If you are not sure how to clear caching from theme/plugin please speak to those authors. If you want to clear cache from the server, please speak to your host provider. To clear the cache from a browser use this guide.
3. Our plugins create sitemaps on the fly. Using FTP or a file manager, please ensure there is not a physical file called sitemap_index.xml at the root of your WordPress installation. If there is, please rename or remove the static file.
4. Check that the XSL file, linked in the very top of the XML file, is available. Sometimes this file gets blocked by .htaccess prevention of the wp-content directory. You can learn more here: Sitemap Stylesheet
5. Open the sitemap and the sitemap stylesheet in Firefox to see if any errors display. If an error displays, please read this article about common sitemap errors.
6. Yoast SEO uses the WordPress site URLs to generate the sitemap. In rare cases, these URLs may not match the preferred URL format of your site. Go to Admin > Settings > General and make sure the correct Site Address and WordPress address match the sitemap URL you are trying to view.
Hi, thanks for the reply. I just deactived all my plugins and the sitemap showed up. But when I active the plugin ‘GravityForms’ (2.5.4) the sitemap turns into a blanco page.
When you visit this url you’ll see the error: https://tinyurl.com/8vfr4tpz
This page contains the following errors:
error on line 10 at column 698: xmlParseEntityRef: no name
Below is a rendering of the page up to the first error.
Thanks for identifying the conflicting plugin. We highly recommend reporting plugin conflicts to the developer of the conflicting plugin as they may have additional information vital to providing a resolution.
According to the change log of Gravity Forms they should’ve fixed it; https://docs.gravityforms.com/gravityforms-change-log/
I’ve reported the conflict at Gravity Forms. Hopefully they fixed it for good now.
