I’ve just installed The SEO Framework and used the SEO Data Transporter to migrate the data across from Yoast SEO. Everything seems to be working normally with one important exception: the /sitemap.xml is returning a 404.

I’m using NGINX (not using EasyEngine, which I see other users have reported similar issues with).

    I’ve tried:

    – resaving permalinks structure setting
    – deactivating and reactivating TSF

I don’t have any other plugins activated that generate sitemaps. It’s on a multisite install but activated on a single site on a per-site basis.

    Hi there 🙂

When you go to /sitemap.xml, will it show /sitemap_index.xml?
The SEO Framework only operates on /sitemap.xml.

If that’s the case, then there’s still some leftover NGINX configuration that needs clearing. Do check your .htaccess files for such rules, too.

Keep in mind that we need the URL to assess these kinds of issues quickly.
The “Link to the page you need help with:” field that’s displayed when creating a new topic hides the inputted URL from logged-out users.
