Sitewide permalink change

    My permalink structure was set to /%year%/%monthnum%/%day%/%postname%/

    Now I have changed it to /%category%/%postname%/
    this seems to have broken all the links and any post I click on goes to the old URL and the page is not found.

    How do I force the change?

    Try changing the permalinks to something other like the basic one, (ie mysite.tld/?=33 or whatever it is) click on the Save Changes, change it back to the one that you want, click on the Save Changes button again, and see if that works.
