Hi James, thanks for replying. I’m sure I followed all the steps exactly, I’ve been waiting for the invitation to appear in my inbox for quite a while now (and yes I also checked spam).
I see no steps on who to email if the invitation did not appear, however. I searched the support forums for issues similar to mine, and came upon the email, but I haven’t received a response either.

The instructions on the page are:
You can email slackinvitehelp at this domain (just the “ww.wp.xz.cn” part) for help.
So, it’s slackinvitehelp (at) wordpress (dot) org not .com.
Sorry, I meant .org. Still no response.

The system is manned by volunteers, so if you did send the email to the correct place, they’ll reply as soon as they can.

OK, understood. Adding a note about that on the page would be helpful. I thought it would send an invite automatically, based on similar setups I’ve encountered.
It definitely should have sent it automatically, it will either be in your inbox or your spam folder of the same email address as your ww.wp.xz.cn account.
If not, please hang in there and they’ll reply to your email as soon as they can.
Me too, sent request 10 hours ago (make.ww.wp.xz.cn/chat/ said it would take just a few minutes). Didn’t notice anything about an alternative email address on that page either.
No reply so far, not in inbox, not in trash, not in spam folder. Any idea how long we might have to sit tight?

Double-check the email address of your ww.wp.xz.cn account and the email address of the mailing client you’re using to check mail.

I can only advise contacting the slack help email address as above. That’s a manned channel and you shouldn’t expect an immediate response.
Hmm, not very helpful. I guess I can forget about joining the meeting on Thursday.
