Slide link does not “translate” shortcode

Hi!
I want to use a shortcode in my slide link to support a changing main url.
But my shortcode does not get replaced when the link is put on the screen.
Can the usage of shortcodes be supported for Slide link?

If this is not possible is there a hook available where I can process the build link?

can you tell in more detail what you want to do with shortcodes? each slide should have an individual dynamic slide link? can you give an example?

are you trying to add a shortcode to the slide link field in the block settings?

Weird, I did not get any mail for your replies (I normally do get them)……

I have several sites that have the same content. One is the main multi site (live) and 2 others are test sites. To get the proper links I have created a shortcode in my child theme called [urlhome].
This shortcode is used in different places together with the specific part to a page or image without any problem and then results in the right link on that site. I also reuse several parts in my multi site that are in a different language.

I have used this shortcode in other blocks without any problems. Gutenslider cannot cope apparently?
I am quite willing to use a hook of some kind if you specify which one (does Gutenslider have hooks?)

@harm10, so are you adding the shortcode to the slide, or to the slide url field in the slide’s block settings?

Again no mail notice of your reply (I did get another for another support report — are you blocking reply mail being sent?)

I want to use this construction in the field called Slide Link.

That is currently not possible, I am sorry. You will have to write some javascript to get that done with gutenslider.

I do not agree that you have set this report to resolved as it isn’t?
First of all I would like to know whether you are considering it as a enhancement request.

And you did not address the second part of my question: “I am quite willing to use a hook of some kind if you specify which one (does Gutenslider have hooks?)”
Can you please reply on that?

i understood it resolved. Sorry. Tgere is no hooks but block filters https://developer.ww.wp.xz.cn/block-editor/developers/filters/block-filters/.

You van usw them to edit block props. E.g. the slideLink.

Also please accept, that the answer: no tgat feature is not included and will not be, is also a valid answer to a support request.

Thanks for the link. I will investigate.

As all my questions are now answered (although I am not satisfied with all the information…. 🙂 ) I agree the issue can get status Resolved.
(Resolved/Not resolved is rather black and white don’t you think? Perhaps we should have another option but that is beside us)
