Try adding these to the “Never minify the following JS files:” section in Admin > Performance > Minify > Advanced section.

Be sure to save and purge caches.
Unfortunately that didn’t change anything. Just to make sure I disabled the W3 Total Cache plugin completely and the slider still does not load.

In General Settings > Debug, please select Minify and CDN, and post a link to a page with the slider so I can look for clues.
Debug mode is enabled, thank you!
Where can I see the slider?
It’s located on the main page (https://www.fretello.com/). The fifth block from top to bottom (either Herman Li or Magnus Karlsson testimonial).
Ah, thanks. I missed that.
The debug info does not tell much.
I don’t see those two files I listed above as excluded. Are you sure they are in the “Never minify the following JS files” box?
In General Settings > Minify, what is your setting for JS minifier?
Yes they are in the ignore box. I’m using Auto minification and the default options. I also tried to turn minification off completely. What else could trigger the issue?
I am unable to reproduce the problem on my test site http://dev.gapcraft.com even without ignoring those files but I’m not using a CDN so I wonder if your CDN is not up to date. I don’t know how often it would update itself. Try disabling the CDN.
W3TC is a complex beast. It may be worth asking its developer what the best configuration is in this case.
If you want to export your configuration (on the General Settings page) and attach it to a support ticket at https://support.strongplugins.com, I will attempt to configure my test site like yours and hopefully reproduce the problem.
Hey Chris,
it is not W3 cache. I deactivated the complete plugin, still the slider.js file is not loaded, other .js files are loaded though. Are there any known constraints with other plugins or themes that could avoid that the JS files are loaded properly?
Your site is still serving the minified/cached version.

I am not aware of any conflicts but it’s always a possibility. What theme are you using?
Hi Chris,
first of all thanks for your support. I’ve now completely disabled the W3 Total Cache plugin. I also saw that others in that support forum have the same issue that the slider JS code is not loaded and it seems that the same happens to me as well. Could you have a look at the theme for me?
Unfortunately I cannot register on your site, I always get an ‘Invalid Username’ error but there’s no field to enter a user name when I register.
