Slider post

Hi

I’m trying to add a slider to my homepage, but the issue I’m getting is when I click on the slider, the post it takes me to looks like this;

The image used is 1350 × 541, so I think it’s the correct size, but the text is cut off in the post. So how do I stop the image appearing at all in the post please? By that, I mean it’ll still appear on the homepage, and click through to this post, but it won’t show the image in the post itself.

If you could please help me I would appreciate it.
