Slider pulling shortcode into text area

Is it possible to have the slider avoid pulling shortcode from a post? I just installed the slider here (http://fabulesslyfrugal.com/) for a client, and she let me know that it’s pulling the shortcode for their recipe posts. Is there a way to avoid that (other than having them type 75 characters before they insert the recipe code)? Thanks!
