Slider shows concept posts

Some of my posts are not published yet, so the have a status of ‘Concept’
When I use the slider using a query for a specific category, both ‘Published’ and ‘Concept’ posts of that category are shown in the slider.

How do I configure the slider to only display published posts of a specific category?
