• I am using the 2.0.76 version of NextGen Gallery and using the photocrati-nextgen_basic_slideshow option.

What I would like to do is have text overlays over the slideshow pictures. E.g. have a semi-transparent black box at the bottom of the picture with some text from the picture (e.g. What I typed in the “Alt/Title Text” and “Description” field in the Gallery).

Is that possible to do? With the free version? Or the Plus Version? Or the Pro version?

@creakydoor – The Basic Slideshow does not currently offer a “caption” method but the Pro Slideshow does have several options for displaying captions including one that reads very much like what you are describing.

    Thanks!

That sounds promising. Do you have a link to some web page that shows what this does so I can see it before I buy it?

Also, is that really only in Pro and not Plus? I don’t need all the e-commerce stuff for Pro.

    Thanks!

@creakydoor – The Pro Display are only in NextGEN Plus and NextGEN Pro.

Please use our contact form for any additional questions you may have for either product … we will also be happy to provide you examples of Pro Slideshows with captions there as well, just make sure to add that to the contact form.

    Thanks!
