Slideshow doesn't work after update

I just recently updated my plugins, including Slideshow. I’m getting this message in my JS console:

TypeError: $content.imagesLoaded is not a function

$content.imagesLoaded(function() {

Has anybody got a clue on how to solve this? I’ve cleaned up any unused plugins and tried all other things suggested on the support forum over the last couple of weeks.
