Try ticking the box in Table IV-B14. This enables swipe left/right on slideshows and should kill other (default) touch events.

Clicking on an element wrapped by an <a> tag is equivalent to touching it on a touch sensitive device.
The nature of lightbox is that it uses <a> tags.
So it looks you should select ‘no link at all’ in Table VI-B5.
However, you can cover 2/3 of the slide area with the ‘big browse buttons’ from Table II-B13 that are not wrapped by an <a> tag. Now only the center 1/3 part of the slide area links to lightbox, the left and right 1/3 part will browse one slide back and forth, but should not react on touch events.
