What other plugins are you running? I lost the ability to use Nextgen with the Advanced AJAX Page Loader plugin. Since 2.0, additional content is injected into the HEAD tag on pages with slideshows. At least in my case, AAPL reloads just the content section of the page. This means that all of the additional content in the HEAD (scripts, etc.) are missing. This was working with the old architecture. The new architecture has rendered it’s use alongside AAPL nonexistent. Hopefully we can work through this.
I am not using the AAPL plugin.
@roamfree: The only other cases where we’ve seen stacked images are with caching plugins. That’s been resolved in 2.0.11, but if you have a caching plugin, can you please try:
*Deactivating the caching plugin
*Finding and clicking the caching plugin’s option to “clear cache”
*Go to Gallery > Other Options > Miscellaneous and click the option to clear image cache.
*Clear your browser cache.

If that doesn’t work, since both that and what @david found were both plugin conflict, my next guess would be some other plugin conflict we haven’t identified yet. You can confirm this by momentarily deactivating your other plugins, just long enough to see if the issue goes away.

Can you try those and report back?
What if anything can be done about the issue I mentioned about the additional HEAD code generated on pages with slideshows?
When I disabled all other plugins, the slideshow works… except it now says “[show picture list]” above the slides.
Huh. Yoast’s plugin “Google Analytics for WordPress” is what stops NGG’s slideshow from working. That’s going to break a lot of sites.
I found this has nothing to do with caching in my situation, as a change of theme (back to one of the standard themes) solves the issue. I my case, it seems to be linked to an older version of Xtreme One Theme Framework (1.4).
However, this does not seem logical…
Current solution for me: Downgrade to 1.9.13. That works well and is done in minutes. Now waiting for new releases and further bugfixes.
