Every time Elementor gets updated, the slideshow on my page headers fail to load its corresponding images. I have tried toggling various settings and clearing caches, but to no avail. The developer console stated that the resources /wp-content/plugins/elementor/assets/lib/swiper/css/swiper.css and swiper.js were not found.

When I looked at the files, these resources were located inside an additional folder labeled “v8”. To solve the issue, I had to manually upload a copy of the resource files to the parent folder, where Elementor is expecting to find them.

I hate to resort to this every time Elementor gets updated!

    Hi @alanwhiteman,

Thank you for sharing these details. The missing Swiper CSS and JS files are likely due to a path change in recent Elementor updates. These files are now located in a ‘v8’ subfolder, but some scripts or add-ons may still be looking for them in the previous location.

We recommend checking if Essential Addons for Elementor or any custom code is referencing the old path. Updating all plugins and clearing all caches may help resolve the issue. If the problem persists, please reach out to the Essential Addons support team, as this issue is often caused by third-party add-ons that have not yet been updated for the new file structure.

Please let us know if you need any further assistance.

    Best regards,
