Hi,
thanks for your post, and sorry for the trouble.
Yes, this is due to the amount of data. Unfortunately, I don’t have tips for making this faster, sorry 🙁 It simply takes time for the data to be sent to the browser and for the JavaScript code to process it.

Hi Tobias,
Thank you for the confirmation. We can get by with the short delay.
Additionally this week I’ve learned several site visitors using Internet Explorer/Edge (including myself when tested) are experiencing nearly 1 minute load times for JavaScript features such as the search and filters to become available. In some instances, users are prompted with a warning message; “xxx.com is not responding due to a long-running script”. Is there anything I can do to address this, or just recommend visitors use an alternative browser? Is Internet Explorer historically finicky with WordPress and/or TablePress?
Thanks,
Christopher
Hi Christopher,
unfortunately, I’m not aware of solutions to speed this up, sorry.
And yes, recommending other browsers is a good idea here. I wouldn’t say that Internet Explorer is “historically finicky with WordPress and/or TablePress” – but with the web in general 🙂

Tobias

Lol, well stated, thank you for clarifying.
Hi,
I do not know much about plugin programming, but a solution could be in loading only parts of the table just in time as you navigate through it.
Please consider this as a feature request.
Thx, Issog
Hi,
yes, that’s basically what the plan here is. Unfortunately, this is not easy to implement 🙁
