slow loading site

    I have three sites that are hosted through WP. Two load in approx. 2 sec., the other site, qualityparingknives.com, takes around 40 sec.

    All three sites have the exact same plugins and all use the same template. My images images on the slow site are optimized. Any ideas from anyone as to what may be causing this? Thanks.

    For that site, Web Page Analyzer is reporting the following speeds for various connections:

    14.4k: 107.71 seconds
    28.8K: 55.16 seconds
    33.6K: 47.65 seconds
    56K: 29.63 seconds
    ISDN 128K: 10.88 seconds
    T1 1.44Mbps: 3.32 seconds

    These are all very reasonable. Perhaps the server was under high load when you checked previously?

    Thanks for your response and effort.

    It loaded for a friend of mine at around 2 sec. As for what the Web Page Analyzer is reporting, that is rather bothersome, especially on the lower connections. I don’t get the disparity between it’s loading time and that of my other sites on my server and computer. Very strange.

    Well, considering that most people have broadband these days, I’d say that you’re still in the clear. According to that test, the site will load for most people in 3.32 seconds or less, and in half a minute for the rest with 56k.
