My site loads slowly

    Hello ,

    My Site Gymguide.nl is currently loading very slow despite a YSlow grade of 84% (GTmetrix). I also use of a number of plugins that should help to speed up the site: “W3 Total Cache” , “WP -Optimize”, “CloudFlare” and ” BJ Lazy Load”. In total I am using 10 plugins. Beside this my admin panel is also relatively slow.

    Does anyone know a possible cause or and perhaps how it can be resolved?

    Your site loaded completely in 2.92 seconds, and there isn’t really anything that you can do to increase that, because that load time is impressive.

    Take a look at http://gtmetrix.com/reports/gymguide.nl/w4QO1cT9

    Your only hit is on those version query strings, which are actually necessary for proper cache functionality, so don’t mess with that.

    Also, take a look at http://www.webpagetest.org/result/150511_RN_18DD/

    You take a little hit for not serving compressed images. Using the Photon Module of https://ww.wp.xz.cn/plugins/jetpack/ or https://ww.wp.xz.cn/plugins/ewww-image-optimizer/ will help with that.

    Thanks for the response!

    The tests show an really nice loading time. Unfortunately the real/actual loading time is slower. I am really wondering how the site is getting these good numbers from tests while the actual loading speed is terrible.

    Just to second what James observed, your site was quite fast when I accessed it. Pages loaded pretty rapidly.

    Perhaps it’s your connection? It loaded in about 3 seconds for me too when viewing directly.

    Unfortunately the real/actual loading time is slower.

    Have you checked loading the site from another machine and/or another IP address. The site load is nice and quick when I visit using Firefox, so maybe this could be a localised issue.

    I’m really happy about the fact that the site is loading fast for other users :)!

    I tried loading the site from another machine that has another IP. The loading went a little faster but still not as fast as it should be/ as GTmetrix and other speedtests show.

    I will contact the hoster to see if they know the cause. Thanks for the help!

    What is the speed of the connection you’re checking from?
