• I created a multinational website using the PolyLang Pro plugin. I am sharing the url slug, but when I try to edit the elementor, it tells me to call the function. If you change the slug, you can edit it. Is there a way to edit elementor while sharing the slug?
    Clearing the cache doesn’t help.

    Hi @pumster3,

I am not sure I understood your issue correctly. Could you elaborate on the issue with some screenshots or even a screencast? https://www.loom.com/

I’d also suggest to try out safe mode.Go to Elementor > tools , choose “enable” to the Safe Mode setting, and click save changes.

“Safe Mode” is a safe environment that isolates Elementor and WordPress from all themes and plugins, it helps multiple users solve issues like this.

Read about the feature here: https://elementor.com/help/what-is-safe-mode/

If it did help, then there is a plugin/theme conflict that causes this issue, try to deactivate all plugins and turn them one by one till you find the culprit.

    Hope it helps.

Safe mode editing is not possible because the Polylang plugin uses slug sharing. I can’t turn off slug sharing. Can upgrading to elementor pro solve the problem?

Hi, @pumster3. Thank you for the reply.

It’s possible the slug-sharing feature from Polylang is incompatible with Elementor, as the slugs need to be different in order for Elementor to work properly. Ref: https://elementor.com/help/the-content-area-was-not-found-error/.

As a workaround, perhaps you can try temporarily deactivating the feature, then editing the pages and re-activating the feature when you are done. You can also try temporarily switching the Permalinks to “Plain.”

    Hope this helps.

    Kind Regards.

Even if I upgrade to pro, it doesn’t solve it, right?

    Hi again,

Unfortunately the issue will occur even with our pro version.

We strive to make Elementor as compatible as possible with 3rd party plugins and themes, but we cannot control the 3rd party’s code.

Therefore, we highly recommend that you report this issue to the support team for this theme/plugin, so they may further troubleshoot and provide any recommendation (or possible fix) to resolve this issue.

Should they need any help from us, they can open an issue on our Github account and our developers will be happy to assist. https://github.com/elementor/elementor/issues

For reference: What do we Support?

    Kind regards
