Smaller Upload Quota?

Fantastic plugin, just what I need! I have a few questions if anyone can help…
1. I would like users to have a very small amount of space available to them. Right now it seems I can’t go lower than 1MB (or MO as it says in the settings, that’s MB right?). I tried decimal (0.5 MO etc) but that didn’t work.
Ideally I would want the individual quota to be more like 100KB , as the files being uploaded will be small config and text files. I don’t want people to abuse the system!
I imagine I will have to alter the core files/filter something, could you point me in the right direction?
2. Which leads me to my 2nd question…. Can .cfg files be uploaded, or made to upload? Not a huge problem, we can upload them within rar/zip if it comes that. But I would prefer .cfg to be available.
