its a decently nice site take away the errors, some of which are rookie mistakes – an un-open </ul> tag for example. youre trying to validate to strict, btw.. you can change that but youre still going to see lots of errors, unclosed img tags, etc..
if you want to impress people, make sure your site(s) meet web standards.
You sound alot like my best friend and business partner who was given a domain name as a birthday present at the age of 16 and turned that into his country’s largest internet forum which now has over 800,000 users. But Whoo is right. Especially if you are holding yourself out as a web designer, you should try to make sure your site validates, or that any errors there are beyond your control. (Our web design site doesn’t validate either but that’s because some plugin authors spit out sloppy code…. A rant for another day.)
I am diving into Thesis as well and there’s a lot that can be done with it. I dislike those telltale top gray nav tabs. Get rid of those — and fix those validation nits — and you’re golden.
Thank you for the thoughts. VERY much appreciated. I need to fix that tag – it was outputted I believe by the Twitter widget. Validating the site is the next step, and will surely have a day dedicated to accomplishing! 🙂

Oh, absolutely it’s a compliment. He’s my best friend in the world and got started on the internet at a young age and grew that forum to the monster it is today. And I see you were even younger when you started out. Now if we could just convince plugin developers to spit out validating CODE for their plugins, life would be pretty much perfect, wouldn’t it?

So I notice (from your About page), that you live with your shoe collection. You sound much like my Mother. I think she too has over 100 pairs. She loves shoes. It’s mostly my Father’s fault. He brings her home new shoes all the time – because he loves to spoil her. 🙂
