Hi there

I have looked and can’t find any reference to SMS OTP – so I am assuming it’s not yet available? is it likely to be available anytime soon?

My site users are older generation and less likely to use Authy / Authenticator etc, so was hoping to use an SMS based option.

Hi,

Security authorities all recommend against using SMS for security, since SIM swap attacks are easy to achieve and regularly carried out in the real world, e.g. https://alpinesecurity.com/blog/why-sms-authentication-isnt-safe-anymore/ . Hence the plug-in does not support them.

I’m not wanting it for fort Knox. It’s more for verification and to prevent wp user password sharing.

So yes I think it’s safe for my use case. But since it’s not provided by your product, I’ll shop around. Thanks.
