    Hello

    I installed a brand new WordPress site with only one plugin (Suremail). I couldn’t send a test email (it failed).
    I removed the Suremail plugin and installed WP Mail SMTP, and then the test email worked with the same connection settings.
    I have other sites that work fine with Suremail, but the plugin was installed before the latest updates.

    Thanks for sharing the details. I understand the concern, especially since the same SMTP settings are working fine with WP Mail SMTP.

    Could you please check if there are any console errors when the SureMail plugin is active? You can also look for any related errors in the Network tab of your browser’s developer tools while sending a test email.

    If possible, please email us at [email protected] with the following details:

    • A screenshot of any console or network errors (if available)
    • Your WordPress version
    • SureMail plugin version

    This will help our team investigate the issue more effectively.

    I suggest you install WordPress 6.9 (as offered for download) and Suremail 1.9.1 on your end and check that they work correctly. If they do, then the problem is on my end; otherwise, it’s an issue with the latest updates.

    Thank you for the details and for sharing the error message.

    I’ve tested this on a fresh installation using WordPress 6.9 and SureMail 1.9.1, and the SMTP connection is working correctly on my test site.

    This suggests the issue may be specific to the setup or environment on your site.
