Smugmug not working after update

    Ever since the latest update, Smugmug doesn’t work any longer for me. It was working for months with no issues, but I’m not even seeing the output of the code on the page now.

    Here is the shortcode I’m using:

    [gallery_photonic type='smugmug' view='albums' nick_name='inumc' media='all' album_sort_order='Album Settings' layout='square' caption='title-desc' thumb_size='Tiny' main_size='Largest' ]

    If I change “view” to be “tree” instead of “albums” it actually works, but the albums setting was working with no problems beforehand. This shortcode actually worked for me:

    [gallery_photonic type='smugmug' view='albums' nick_name='inumc' media='all' album_sort_order='Album Settings' layout='square' caption='title-desc' thumb_size='Tiny' main_size='Largest' ]

    Any idea what is going on?

    I am looking into it. Are you sure it was the last version that broke this? Or was it a few versions back?

    The reason I ask is because I made some changes in version 1.68 (in the last weekend of July) to handle albums, and then I made some changes in 2.00 / 2.01 to support searches within albums.

    I’m not 100% sure if it was the most recent version, but I feel like it was working possibly within the last week or two. It definitely is one of the more recent versions.

    OK – thank you for the confirmation. It looks like I broke this functionality in either 2.01 or 2.02. Let me look into it and get back with the fix.

    Looks like the album_sort_order attribute is causing an issue. This will need two changes in the short term:

    1. You will need to remove the explicitly defined album_sort_order attribute
    2. For Photonic → Settings → SmugMug → Album Thumbnails (with other Albums) → Album sort order, set it to something like “Last Updated (Descending)”

    Hopefully this will be an adequate stopgap while I fix the code.

    Alternatively, if you simply set the sort order to Last Updated (Descending) without deleting the value it should work.

    I have fixed this in my development version, but I am in the middle of some other changes as well, so I am holding on to the code release for now.
