Smush Not Connecting

    Tried to install your plugin, but it doesn’t connect to my site. When I click the “Connect to my site” button, only the page I’m on refreshes. I tried on two browsers, yet the same issue.

    Deactivated my plugins and the same problem. No errors in the browser console.

    Hello @travelherstory

    Can you please let us know the WordPress version and the PHP version of your site?

    If possible, please go to your WP Admin page, under Tools -> Site Health, click on the Info tab, and share us the content of the copied text.

    Do you know if your site has any kind of server-side cache that can be cleared? If so, make sure to clear the cache of your site, specially the Object Cache, and then try again.

    Hi @travelherstory,

    Sorry to know that you are still experiencing this issue.

    I understand that you tried deactivating and reactivating the plugin. Can you please also uninstall the plugin and try re-installing it, and check if that helps to resolve the issue?

    If the issue persists, can you please try a complete conflict test to ensure no other plugin or theme is conflicting and causing the issue? That is, deactivate all the plugins except Smush and check if that resolves the issue. If yes, reactivate all the plugins, one at a time, and check when the issue reappears. You need to do the same with the theme as well.

    If this is a live website with traffic, please create a staging website and perform the test without disrupting the live traffic. A staging website is a copy of your live website in a new directory on the same server using a separate database.

    Deactived everything but Smush and still had the issue, also uninstalled and reinstalled before that, same problem.
