• There are many posts saying this plugin is useless unless paid for, and for the more part, that’s pretty much true. You essentially have to manually submit your posts. This essentially renders it about as useful as jetpack publicize, unless you pay for the premium versions which really isn’t worth it in my opinion, considering this app is already collecting all money making data on the back end.

Honestly, unless you have some bias against Jetpack, it’s a million times better than this app. And for about the same price, a premium jetpack subscription will give you many, many more useful tools to utilize.

My only objection, is the name is misleading to those using the free version, as every social media post must be manually submitted, which simply does not fit my needs. I was pretty happy with Jetpack Publicize, I was simply looking for something to add hashtags with my autoposts. I’ve been using Jetpack for many many years, and honestly have never had any issues with it and developers always deliver rock solid updates.

My vote goes to Jetpack publicize. I’m sure someone will eventually update or release a solid hashtag plugin–maybe jetpack will finally listen and add the feature.

  • Hello @jonzykub

Thanks for reaching out and your feedback.

In comparison to Jetpack, Blog2Social specializes in Social-Media distribution and customization of your WordPress-blog post. For this reason we can offer you functions with Blog2Social, which you are looking for, such as adding hashtags automatically to your posts or editing your posts individually to your liking for each of your social media as well.
Check out our guide: “How to automatically add Hashtags to Social Media Posts” http://www.blog2social.com/en/faq/index.php?action=artikel&cat=4&id=118&artlang=en

Blog2Social provides you lots of different features to customize your post individually for each social media network. There are in fact a lot of things you can do with the free version of Blog2Social.

    For instance:
    – share your posts or pages on 14 different social networks at once: Twitter, Facebook (profile and page), LinkedIn (profile), XING (profile), Instagram, Pinterest, Reddit, Torial, Medium, Tumblr, Flickr, Diigo, Bloglovin, and VK

-customize your social media posts with personal comments, hashtags, handles, emojis, and select an image of your choice from your blog post. You can even edit the complete HTML markup for re-publishing your post on Tumblr, Torial, and Medium.

    – view all your social media posts in one single place

    – automatically generate hashtags from the tags of your post

    – edit the meta tag information of your blog posts and pages

    – use the free Blog2Social Extension for Firefox and Chrome to save links while browsing and share them whenever you want.

    – share your posts with the auto-posting feature in your social media as soon as your blog posts are published on your blog or with a delay

    – share your own created or imported posts (plugin or feed) automatically in your social media

    – use the best-time manager to share your posts at the best times of each network in your social media

    – create individual posts by using the Social-Media-Post-Templates to customize your post for your different networks

Like many other plugins on WordPress, Blog2Social is Freemium, which means that we offer a basic free version as well as advanced features in the Premium version. We offer a wide range of automation and customizing options in the free version.
However, some functions like the auto-poster or the post-templates are premium features, to ensure compliance with the new API rules of the social networks. Other features, like posting to 14 social media account at once, is included in the Free Version as well as many other Free-features of Blog2Social.

Thanks for your PR spin and opinion, but in my opinion WordPress Jetpack, is the superior plugin when it comes to price vs functions.
