We have a website on WordPress.com with a Business account. I am looking for some guidance on connecting our site to Facebook and Instagram. The Facebook page is using the ‘New Page’ experience and is managed in the Business Manager. Reading a different post and the Jetpack Social documentation on this it appears that I can’t use this page with Jetpack Social.

However, we do use it. To do so I have to supply Jetpack with my personal Facebook login. I set up the Facebook page and am a full admin of it and the business account. When I put my personal Facebook credentials into Jetpack I can choose among a few Facebook pages I manage, one of which is the page in question.

I’m glad we can use it. I assume that this works due to something I don’t understand about Facebook Pages. I really don’t understand much about them.

Is this a completely undocumented way to connect that I have stumbled upon? If it is not can someone explain to me what is going on so I can set up additional users on Facebook so the other folks on my team don’t need to have my Facebook password?

    Thanks for any help

  • @dharrod Since the site is hosted with WordPress.com, I’d highly recommend contacting their support directly from within your WordPress.com account. You’ll have access to live chat and email support there. Jetpack works slightly differently on WordPress.com Business plan sites vs self-hosted sites, so they’ll be in the best position to answer this for you.
