    Hi,

First of all thank you for a wonderful plugin. I’m having a slight issue with the social counts.

1/ Facebook. The count is currently not showing at all on our website – g2gcommunities.org, where previously it was working. I went in today to change the Google+ count settings, when I clicked save it changed the Facebook count to 0 in the admin panel and isn’t showing any counter on the website.

Previously it was quirky to get working, when I entered the ID of the page (101432316592144) it wouldn’t get the count, however when I entered the Facebook pages name (g2gcommunitiescic) it worked.

I have tried disabling and re-enabling the plugin, modifying the FB ID to the page number and name, turning the count off and back on but alas nothing seems to work.

2/ LinkedIn. I have followed the instructions to set this up, however in https://www.linkedin.com/developer it only gives me a ClientID and ClientSecret. No API Key, Secret or OAuth User Token – have I missed something or has it changed?

3/ Google+. For ‘Retrieve the number of google+ followers’ I have the public access key. I’m a bit confused as in where I should enter ‘Please make sure you have entered the URL for Visit my Google+ page at: like https://plus.google.com/u/0/b/111942047682002717993 in Google+ settings under question number 2.’ I couldn’t see anything obvious on the Google+ settings or in the developers.google.com.

Hope you can help. Thanks in advance, Mark.

re: Facebook count. Seems to have fixed by removing and re-adding the widget.

Thanks Mark. Regarding LInkendin, that should work now – do you have the latest plugin installed? Regarding google+ I don’t understand what the issue is. Did you enter your google+ url under question 2?

Ok, Linkedin did substantial changes to their API. Making counts work would take us a lot of time, therefore we don’t do it now, maybe later. You can still select to show a manual figure there.

Thank you for the reply. When you say “Did you enter your google+ url under question 2?” do you mean in the plugin settings?

I have the Google+ URL under the Plugin settings “What do you want the URL icons to do?” https://plus.google.com/+G2gcommunitiesOrgCIC

In your plugin settings it says “Please make sure you have entered the URL for Visit my Google+ page at: like https://plus.google.com/u/0/b/%5Bpageid%5D in Google+ settings under question number 2.”

Do I need to change the format to be the same as above?

re: LinkedIn, I will enter a manual number.

re: Facebook count, I noticed that a few times it will disappear and then come back, I’m guessing it’s an issue between the site and Facebook getting a count.

If there is an issue with displaying the correct g+ follower count, enter your g+ page URL under question 2 in the following format: https://plus.google.com/pageID (in your case, use this url: https://plus.google.com/111942047682002717993) Please let me know if this solved the issue.

Hi, have the URL under question 2, but still no luck.

It doesn’t matter, I will mark it as resolved. I have removed getting the counts and will enter them manually as it was seriously slowing down the sites loading time. Using P3 Plugin Profiler it said Ultimate Social was taking up 54% of the sites loading time.

Removing the automatic counts has fixed the load time.

    Thank you for your assistance.
