I have Solid Security (Basic) → Hide Backend enabled with login slug /somethingelse.

I unchecked “Enable Redirection”, clicked Save, and cleared cache/cookies (also tested in Incognito), but I’m still being redirected when I try to access /wp-admin or /wp-login.php (it behaves like a 404/not found redirect).

Has anyone seen Hide Backend redirection persist even when disabled?

Where is this redirect enforced (plugin setting vs .htaccess/server rules), and what’s the cleanest way to fully reset it?

    Hi @dqiuchqcnioeqj,

    We’re here to help!

The Hide Backend is enforced in PHP only. If you’re still getting a redirect to a not-found page, it’s possible the setting is still effectively ON due to settings not saving or cache.

Does the issue resolve if you temporarily disable Hide Backend?

If so, please confirm that the “Enable Redirection” setting is unchecked when viewing the Hide Backend settings again.

Then I’d recommend checking for object/persistent cache (Redis, memcached, or host-level cache), as it can be holding the old plugin options data.

Please also check for a CDN or proxy that might cache the 302 redirect response for /wp-admin or /wp-login.php.

Let us know what you find out.

Thanks for the help chandelierrr 🙂 I’ll definitely check the cache from our CDN + WP.

    Thanks,
