I cannot exclude certain categories (“uncatagorized” and a few others refuse to be excluded).

Also, there appears to be jquery conflicts with rocket themes and plugins that use mootools ajax. So, the category menu doesn’t collapse.

I’m not sure what the problem was, but I bundled all the categories that I wanted to excluded as subcategories – then excluded the parent category and it is working for me.
