Some Comments coming through without GDPR Checked

    Hello, I appreciate your plugin to help my site to be GDPR compliant.

    I have been receiving some comments to my our site, where GDPR is not checked. These appear to possibly be spam comments. I know the alert works for most people to block if they try to comment without checking first, I have seen it work myself. So I am confused how about 3-4 comments have gotten through out of hundreds without them accepting the GDPR.

    Spam bots can easily bypass the added WordPress filters/actions by directly targeting the comments file, I think. The filters/actions I’m talking about are used to add the GDPR field and also to check if it’s actually been set. I’d suggest to add a plugin that takes care of these spam comments, such as Akismet.
