Dear Quiz Maker by AYS Team,

I hope you’re doing well.I am the founder of Medico Engineer, a free educational platform dedicated to helping students prepare for the MDCAT (Medical and Dental College Admission Test) in Pakistan. Over the last two years, we’ve conducted over 135,000 quiz attempts using your plugin to provide practice tests to thousands of aspiring medical students.As we continue to grow and improve the student experience, we’re looking to implement a few advanced features on our platform. I would be truly grateful for your guidance and support on the following:—

1. “Create Your Own Mock Test” Feature: We want users to be able to create custom mock tests by selecting: Subjects and chapters Number of questions Timer settingsThe quiz should be generated dynamically on the frontend only (not stored in the backend), but user results must still be saved in the database. Also, we’d like the option to control which subjects/chapters are available for this feature from the admin side.—

2. Delayed Emailing of Quiz Responses: We’d like to implement a feature where the detailed quiz response is emailed to the user (based on email input in a contact form), but with a customizable delay —for example, send after 12 hours .

3. Hierarchical Category Structure (Subjects & Chapters): Please add support for: Main Category = Subject (e.g., Biology, Chemistry) Subcategory = Chapters (e.g., Enzymes, The Cell)This would greatly help us in organizing questions and generating subject-wise analytics even in combined subject mock tests.—

4. Subject-Wise Result Breakdown: Currently, results are shown overall, but we want them to appear like this: Total Questions: 200 Biology: 50 correct Chemistry: 70 correct Physics: 30 correct Total Score: 150 This format is vital for students to assess performance by subject.—

5. Option to Recalculate Results After Updating Answer Key:Sometimes answer keys have errors that are corrected later. We need an option to recalculate or reassess past quiz attempts after updating the answer key so that students get corrected results automatically.—We would deeply appreciate your help in achieving this functionality. If these features are not possible in the free or Pro version, kindly let us know: Whether they can be implemented through custom add-ons If there are alternative ways to achieve similar functionality using your existing plugin or through third-party plugins that you recommendThank you for building such a powerful plugin. We hope to continue using Quiz Maker by AYS as our platform grows and evolves.Looking forward to your suggestions and support.

Thanks for the topic.
1. I want to mention that there is an addon named Category Selective Quiz. With the help of the addon, your users will be able to choose how many questions from each category they want to answer.
  
  In this case, however, the quizzes are not created each time on the admin dashboard as you want.
  Also, please note that the timer will be displayed in the way the admin configures it for the quiz each time.
  
  But, if you are referring to showing categories on the front end, it will depend on the questions added to the given quiz.
  If you don’t want to display the given category on the front end, then you don’t need to include the questions with that category in the quiz.
2. At the moment, the plugin doesn’t provide a customizable delay for the emails, they are sent right away.
  By the way, thanks a lot for your suggestion. I will open a ticket as per this request for our PM Team and will let you know in case we include such a feature in any of the future updates of the plugin.
3. Unfortunately, the plugin doesn’t have the subcategory option.
  In the Pro versions of the plugin, we have question tags that can be used to provide specific details about the questions.
  If you have any questions regarding question tags, please contact us via this form for further discussion. Our customer care specialists will be happy to answer your questions.
  
  Commercial products are not supported in these forums.
4. If we understand correctly, you are looking for the %%results_by_cats%% message variable. It displays the score the user has received by categories.
  If you want to customize this with more details, you can also use these message variables:
%%question_category_name_{question_cat_ID}%%
%%user_points_by_question_category_{question_cat_ID}%%
%%user_max_point_by_question_category_{question_cat_ID}%%
%%question_category_displayed_questions_count_{question_cat_ID}%%

1. If you want teachers to modify the scores of the students, currently, it is not possible to modify the results of already completed quizzes.
By the way, thanks for all of your suggestions! I have passed them all on to our PM team. If we include them in our future updates, we will let you know.
