some general understanding

Hello there,
I really like the tool it works fine, but I have got a general question: I see all the files on the page admin.php?page=wpfilebase_files

There are several entries with id´s. If I click on the name I can edit it. But only the name.
If I want to change the document (because there is a replacement/new version) in the edit mode of that specific file id it always adds a completely new document and I got a new ID.
But then I have to change all the embeded shortcodes with the new ID, that makes no sense if I only want to update the document.

Or is it somehow wrong understandig of the module?
