Some orders have wrong order date/time

We have noticed that some orders (not all) have a wrong order dates that are earlier than the actual order date. Some are wrong by only a few minutes, some by as much as 17 hours. For example, a customer will order. Immediately after placing the order (which we know by the order email), their order will show up as x hours ago in the dashboard woocommerce/orders and show up behind actual earlier orders in the list. In the order notes the dates are correct. The time zone in WP is set correctly and the host is in the same time zone. It also doesn’t happen every time, which makes it hard to test for. Any idea what could be going on? Thanks!
