Have just created a completely new site using WordPress. Have been trying to create redirects from the old site to the new site using cPanel.

Added your plug-in because not all of the 301 redirects worked in the cPanel once the old pages were deleted.

Same issue with the plug-in. Some pages redirect properly and some do not. And it is not the same pages that don’t redirect. (Actually, one page had the worst time with worked a treat with your plug-in!)

Any hints on what might be the problem?

    Site is http://www.whitecedarinn.com

Example of a page that does not work with EPS 301 is http://www.whitecedarinn.com/rooms.htm

This one does work in the cPanel so I have the redirect going thru there instead.

Kind of tough maintaining two separate, but the same, redirect lists.

    Help appreciated.

Let me add this…the redirects sometimes work while the old pages are still accessible on the web. Once the old pages are deleted is when some of the problems start to arise.

Altho, the one page I had the most trouble with worked with your plug-in, there are still other that do not work even with the old page still available. (See first post.)

Well, a couple of hours later the redirect started working.

I like your product. Other than a couple of pages that refused to work with EPS 301, the other 50 or so worked fine.

    Thanks!

Thanks Misskismet. It sounds like it could be because there are serverside redirects? Those will always take precedent over the plugin, unfortunately.

I’m glad it’s working well for you now, and I’ll keep poking around to see if I can find out what happened with your case and maybe get a fix going.
